OUR FOUNDER

Empowering women and families through every circle of life.

Perri Louise is a somatic counsellor and the Founder of WOMB – Wisdom Of Mothers Bond FNQ.

Her work centres on nervous system regulation, belief systems, and embodied integration — supporting women and families through periods of transition, identity shift, and emotional change with depth, clarity, and grounded care.

Rather than working from a single modality, Perri brings together somatic counselling, trauma-informed practice, and lived experience to meet clients where they are, without bypassing or fixing. Her approach is relational, consent-led, and rooted in the understanding that lasting change happens when the body feels safe enough to participate.

Perri no longer offers hands-on bodywork or energy healing as standalone services. Intuitive awareness may arise naturally within her work, however it is used as a supportive lens — not as treatment — with the focus remaining on internal resourcing, regulation, and self-led integration.

Her passion for this work was shaped through her own journey into motherhood, where she witnessed firsthand how deeply identity, belief systems, and the nervous system are impacted during life’s major thresholds. This experience informs her steady, compassionate presence and her commitment to helping others navigate change without losing themselves in the process.

At the heart of Perri’s work is a simple belief: there is no one right way — only what is supportive, sustainable, and true for the individual. Her role is not to lead from the front, but to walk alongside, creating space for clarity, autonomy, and trust in one’s own inner capacity.

PERRI’S Journey

My journey into this work began with one of the most profound and painful experiences of my life: the loss of my son. That moment forever changed me, reshaping not only how I see motherhood but how I see myself. It brought with it immense grief, but also profound growth, deep healing, and a calling to help others on their unique journeys.

Motherhood has been my greatest teacher. It’s shown me the depths of love and the weight of loss, the strength we don’t know we have, and the vulnerability that makes us human. Through my own experiences—the joys, the challenges, and the heartbreak—I’ve learned the importance of being deeply seen and supported.

This work isn’t just a profession for me; it’s a purpose. It’s my way of honoring the lessons I’ve learned, my son’s memory, and the transformative power of parenthood. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and I am here to hold space for those stories—to guide, nurture, and support you as you navigate your own path.

For the past six years, I’ve had the honour of supporting women and families as a doula—a role that has profoundly shaped how I view birth, motherhood, and the transformative journey into parenthood. To me, birth is far more than a physical event; it is a sacred rite of passage, a moment of immense power, vulnerability, and connection.

Being a doula has taught me that no two births are the same, just as no two journeys into parenthood are alike. I’ve witnessed the strength of women as they navigate their unique paths, leaning into their instincts and embracing the transformation that comes with bringing life into the world. Birth is raw, beautiful, and deeply personal, and I’ve been privileged to hold space for so many during this pivotal moment.

These years of experience have also deepened my understanding of the need for holistic care—care that centres not just on the physical aspects of birth, but on the emotional, mental, and even spiritual dimensions. It’s this understanding that inspired my transition from doula work to a broader focus on counselling, healing, and education. I see birth not just as the start of life for a baby, but as the birth of a new parent—a transformation that deserves its own care and attention.

These experiences have not only enriched my understanding of birth but have also opened my eyes to the deeper layers of healing that are often overlooked. I began to see more clearly that the transition into motherhood—and the many identities that come with it—can stir profound emotional, mental, and even spiritual challenges. There is grief, identity loss, anxiety, ancestral wounds, and unmet expectations that can quietly sit beneath the surface of this sacred time. It was this realisation that led me to expand my work into holistic counselling—creating a space where women and families can explore these layers safely, gently, and without judgment.

My approach to counselling is grounded in the belief that healing is not linear, and it cannot be separated into neat boxes of mind, body, or spirit. Instead, I offer support that honours the whole person, integrating emotional processing, somatic awareness, intuitive exploration, and narrative therapy to help clients connect to their inner wisdom. Whether it's navigating the complexities of birth trauma, processing shifts in identity, tending to relationship challenges, or exploring spiritual questions that arise during the parenting journey, my practice offers a nurturing container for those tender conversations and healing journeys. My work now is an extension of my doula heart—still holding space, still witnessing, still walking alongside—but in a way that supports the ongoing unfolding of self, long after the birth itself.

PERRI’s approach

Perri’s work is grounded in the understanding that meaningful change happens when care honours the whole person — body, emotions, beliefs, and lived experience.

As a Manifesting Generator, Perri naturally works in an integrative and responsive way. Rather than following a linear or rigid framework, she draws from multiple disciplines and perspectives, allowing sessions to unfold in a way that is attuned to what is most relevant in the moment.

Her approach weaves together somatic counselling, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed practice to meet each client where they are. Sessions are relational and consent-led, guided by what the body and nervous system are communicating, rather than a predetermined formula or technique.

Her work is steady, grounded, and deeply respectful of individual pace. Whether you’re seeking clarity, support through transition, or a deeper understanding of the patterns shaping your experience, Perri creates a space where you can reconnect with your own capacity, autonomy, and inner steadiness — without being fixed, rushed, or directed.

PERRI’s MISSION

Perri’s mission is to support women and families to meet life’s most transformative moments with confidence, clarity, and a growing sense of self-trust.

Her work is integrative and responsive, drawing together somatic counselling, education, and nervous system awareness to meet clients where they are — without prescribing a single path or way of being. Rather than offering solutions or fixes, Perri’s role is to support insight, capacity, and momentum from within.

At the heart of her mission is creating spaces where people feel deeply supported and understood, while also being strengthened in their ability to navigate parenthood, personal growth, and change in their own way. This work is guided by flexibility, attunement, and respect for individual pace — not rigid rules or external authority.

Perri believes there is no one “right” path, only what is sustainable, supportive, and true for the individual — and her mission is to walk alongside others as they reconnect with that knowing for themselves.

“Not only was Perri phenomenal at dealing with the traumatic experience of my birth, she was gentle, kind, compassionate and present in discussing the extensive trauma in my past. Being someone with PTSD, opening up to the right professional is paramount. In the wrong hands, that information can feel minimised, dismissed and overlooked. Perri is truly wonderful in receiving such sensitive information and working forward together to create a brighter future. She is highly skilled in tactfully taking the essence of past experience and seeing the deep soul learnings and awareness in order to help clients to move forward.”
